Tooth Whitening Fairy Cardiff...

For ages I have been literally dying to have my teeth whitened. Since having a brace they have been left with a slightly yellow tinge. Here is a bit of a background story of my teeth to get us in the toothy mood. When I was younger I came home from school in Year 2 telling my mum that I had extra teeth growing in my mouth - I wasn't wrong. I had my adult teeth growing behind my baby teeth, the day this happened I knew I would need a brace, my teeth were crooked from over crowding.. Anyway I had my brace for 9 months when I was around 12/13 and I finally had my straight teeth, apart from the bottom ones which have moved back.

Since the brace has been taken off (and my love for tea) my teeth have never seemed white or bright and this is where my trip to the Tooth Whitening Fairy - aha Richard has changed all that.

Here are my teeth before...

When you arrive you are greeted by such a lovely man - Richard is really nice guy and lovely to be around. You do need to read through a little leaflet that outlines the procedure and says a list of things that if you have them you shouldn't go through with the process - luckily for me I didn't so went ahead :)

You are taking through the whole procedure before hand and can ask as many questions as you like! Which I did! Sorry Rich!

First of all your tooth whiteness level is measured against a guide and I was shocked to see how yellow my teeth actually were (I shall talk through the measurements later) and then I got on the bed, laid back and the treatment began! First of all you have to wear a rather attractive mouth piece that stretches your lips away from your teeth - this is the only *slightly uncomfortable thing about the whole process. Add to the picture the sexy glasses ;) then the gel is painted on your teeth and then the light placed by your mouth - see pictures. This happens for 12 minutes and then you swill, spit (another very attractive moment) and is repeated 4 times.
Word of warning make sure you have a tissue handy when you sit up - the saliva that builds up in those 12 minutes runs down your face the second you sit up! You are supposed to keep swallowing during the treatment but it's hard!

Here are some pictures that Richard took of my (practically asleep) as the treatment was happening - please excuse the hair - it was early morning!

Here are the "results" so to speak. Above is the guide that is used showing "teeth" ranging from bright white to yellow.

To start off with my top teeth were s28 before and went to s12 afterwards, my bottom teeth were s34 to begin with and went to s18!!! That is an amazing 8 shades lighter on my top teeth and 8 shades on my lower teeth. AMAZING.

The after care is really simple.

You can't brush your teeth properly that night so Richard supplies you with a tooth wipe for your teeth to freshen up and then your brush as normal the following morning!

You need to follow the "white" diet for 48hours Which is pretty self explanatory: you can eat cheese, white bread, chicken etc and don't eat anything with any colour in even down to carrots and lettuce.

I followed this and my teeth are still sparkling away, I am more conscious of what I am eating now and If I drink tea or coffee or eat something with a lot of colouring in I swill my mouth out with water straight after if I can!

Overall I cannot recommend this enough! And just for my readers and who can travel to CARDIFF there is a special offer for you lot!

Yes ladies, I have caved in a subscribed to the latest in beauty boxes - She Said Beauty. She Said Beauty is a monthly subscription box for £9.00 with £2.95 p&p. There are options to buy for 3,6 or 12 months which are sold at discounted prices - I think the 12 month works out at around £7 per box which is really good. Although I can't see myself committing to that length of time it is a good idea if you can afford to pay the £91 upfront now.

The She Said Beauty box contains 5 luxury beauty samples each month to trial at home from skincare, treatments, face products, makeup and hair care (and tea!). There is the option to cancel at any time and they have a beauty profile on there so you can add your skin type etc!

I was subscribed to GlossyBox but unsubbed after the first one! Realistically I wasn't going to purchase any of the crazy priced samples they provided no matter how much I loved it. For example a £210 moisturiser....it's just not going to happen. So over the past few months where beauty box demand has increased beyond anything I have sat and watched people's blog posts on the boxes they subscribe to or get sent and I have patiently waited trying to decide which one I want to subscribe to. You see as much as I think that it may be a bit extreme paying for samples (although there are so many full sized items I think this is unfair) I really love the feeling of a little treat and the excitement of not knowing what is coming your way.

Then I heard about She Said Beauty and I decided to take the plunge and I have to say I am really happy with my first box. I thought I would do a quick round up of what I have and then will review items once I have used them.

I received the colour black which to be honest I have seen other colours I would have prefered at this time of year. But then maybe only having a small colour in black is perfect for me!! I haven't tried this brand before but I have heard good things.

MAC Viva Glam Nicki...

I have never ever been one to rush out and buy or pre-order anything from MAC. The only regret is that I didn't buy Candy Yum Yum but I have bought a supposed dupe for that and will review it later on this week.

For now, let me bring you MAC Viva Glam Nicki, designed by Nicki Minaj. It's a bright mid toned pink with a slight yellow undertone to it. Although frankly is is an oober bright highlighter pink that looks different on many people.

Viva Glam Nicki is a satin finish lipstick (which I have to be honest I don't know much about the different finishes) which means it is supposed to be quite moisturising which it is! It's also opaque in one layer and Today I wore it from 8am and there was still lipstick (and a fair amount of it) on my lips at 5pm!

With the Mac Viva Glam lipsticks all the money goes to charity so it is just like donating with the reward of a lipstick!

Have you bought it? Are any of the other Viva Glam lipsticks just as pretty?

Sunday Summary #21...

So this was me for a few days last week after bending my thumb backwards! Attractive...right? Being in a sling is so awkward, I really didn't think I used my left hand so much. But it left me not being able to type, work properly or even wash my hair! However, I am all out of bandages now...just have to ice it if it aches too much, which it does after doing too much with it.

My clarasonic arrived!! YEY!!! A bargainous deal on Amazon allowed me to get it for the sneaky price of £70. I am loving it so far after about 6 days of using it and I am taking a photo everyday to see how my skin changes with the continuous use. Obviously I can't comment on anything really but it is the weirdest thing I have ever done to my face!

My nails are still growing strong from the use of the OPI Nail Envy - I would recommend it to anyone! I bought mine from ASOS and got a free OPI RapiDry Top Coat!

Along with those OPI's I am FINALLY the owner of Rainbow Connection! After a couple of mix ups on ebay it is mine :) I do love it! Although a technic nail polish that I won from a blog giveaway is pretty much the same - will blog about them both soon!

MAC Costa Chic...

So after a week of no blogging at all due to having sprained my wrist/thumb I am now back because I can type without it being painful and paint my nails again!

So first up since my injury - yes I am going to milk it because it was bloomin' painful - is a post on one of my lipsticks that has quickly become one of my favourites and it is MAC Costa Chic.

I bought this from the beautiful Estée in a blog sale of hers. You have to follow her blog and her youtube, trust me you won't regret it!

Costa Chis is described as a frosty light coral and while I don't think it is frosty I do agree that is it a light coral. Although is a slight silvery-ness to the lipstick but in my opinion it isn't enough to call it frosty. I'm not sure if it is just me, but this seems to make my lips peel if that makes sense? Like it makes all my dry skin on my lips start to flake, could just be this time of year though!

Overall it is a beautiful colour though and one that I am sure I will love for ages!!

Imagine Beauty Cardiff...

Imagine beauty is a mobile nail, tan and lash (soon expanding) business set up recently by the lovely Natalie. Natalie is based in Cardiff (and just also happens to be a bloomin' great friend of mine - note...this does not affect my review of the treatment - I go into blogger mode with that one :) )

Usually with my nails I always just go with my natural nail and have biosculpt gel or shellac. But being the impatient lady that I am I decided that I wanted to have tips. I am growing my nails and this may shock you to hear I wanted the tips but hey - nails always grow back!

I still had the gel which meant that my own nails weren't damaged but if there were to be damage it would just be the tips where the glue had stuck them on.

First off my nails were cut down and shaped so that the tips could be stuck on. My nails were also "prepped" and to Natalie's amazement she didn't have to get rid of any cuticles because I don't have any. I guess that is one of the perks of doing someone's nails who are looked after!

Here are the tips before they were cut down to size, I did pretend to Matt that I was going to keep them this length, but he didn't fall for it :/.

In reality this was the length I went for, much easier for work and general life! I'm not sure how people with longer nails cope!

After they were filled down the gel was placed on and then cured in the UV Lamp - some people may want to wear sunscreen on their hands for this but personally I didn't.

Now me being me and loving having "out there" nails - a french manicure was just screaming to be jazzed up. I chose to have a diamond strip on each thumb, and I have loads more planned for next time! I'm going to have coloured gel with glitter all on my ring finger!! And because the gems were cured into the top coat they lasted the whole time!

Taking them off was really easy - the gel acts like normal and soaks off with acetone or nail polish remover that contains acetone. The best bit - My nails weren't damaged in the slightest, they grew amazing underneath and are now longer than they were before I had my nails done.

Another best bit - you can paint over them in nail polish and take it off with acetone free nail plish remover with no damage done to the falsies :)

The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue - £9.00

I bought the full size of this after getting the sample at the Fashion Show I went to last year. Well actually it was Leanne's freebie but I stole it :).

The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue has become a very much loved part of my nightly routine. I pop this on when I get out of the bath and straight away put on some nice fluffy socks to help the cream soak in. The cream smells SO good, especially as I am an avid mint lover and this provides a cooling sensation which is so nice after a long day on my feet.

My feet have been softer since using this and I think they will continue to with prolonged use!

Sunday Summary #20...

So another Sunday Summary, I have been a bit hit and miss with them recently, need to sort that one out because I like having rather regular posts on my blog. Had a pretty awesome day today, went shopping in Cardiff with my boyfriends, dad's, wife (are you there yet?) anyways Matt and his dad went to the rugby whilst we hit the shops. I needed to go to the Apple shop because my Iphone wasn't charging last night. I have to say how AMAZING they were in there, especially Rich who when he found out he couldn't fix my phone - replaced it straight away and free of charge. Plus he was really funny in the process. So once I had my new phone we were rather hungry (this was after me convincing Ra to spend monies in Topshop - where I saw the most perfect jumper) and instead of going for something lunchy we went for Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Sauce and Ice Cream Crepes..WOWWEEE they were good.
Anways, after that we headed to H&M where Ra bought more jumpers and then treated me to an early birthday present in the form of these shoes. They look so similar to the ASOS Flatforms that I was contemplating buying...but they aren't as flat. They are more of a wedge with a platform. I originally tried the black ones on but was sold when I saw this colour! What do you think?
The lipstick I wore today was Cherries in the Snow by Revlon which I bought solely because I saw it on Sailor Jennie and I bloomin' love it - lasts for ages and it a really beautiful colour! I 100% recommend it and I bought it cheaper on amazon.

No7 Vital Enlightening Highlighting Powder...

Confession - I picked this up WITHOUT swatching it in the shop, without needing it, all because Leanne text me the day before saying she bought it and it was pretty (and I needed something to spend my £5 voucher on). This is the highlighter from the new collection that has been bought out this spring for No7. I have to say I am usually very impressed with anything I buy from the No7 range, I find it to be quite reliable.

Like I said, I never really sought out to buy this product until Leanne text me, I didn't even really know that they were bringing out another collection. But I have to say I love it. I love the bright packaging and think it looks lovely on display on my new makeup storage (video soon).

Do you know what - Leanne was so so so right. This is just so beautiful. I love how it looks like sand, I am a sucker for pretty products, although this does tend to backfire when it makes me not want to use them. The packaging is brilliant too, I love that there is a large mirror and that there is the reassuring "click" when you close the lid. I think this may actually be the perfect highlighter, the only words I can think to describe it is "a velvety shimmer". The powder is very soft and not chalky at all meaning there is no left over product in the pan when you swipe your brush in it. Plus it is a shimmer NOT a glitter so there is no wild chunks of sparkle on your face just a really healthy glow.

Please excuse the stray hairs here, but this was the best photo that showed the shimmer on my cheek bones. You can get this from boots (obvs) as well as the rest of the collection, I was really tempted by the lipsticks but because I have so many - I resisted.

Firstly let me apologise for the really bad picture. Winter is a nightmare for bloggers as we all know and it was a last minute decision to use this masque tonight, so I needed to take a picture pronto!
I have this masque on right now at the time of typing this so I need to type fast because soon it will be time to peel it off (the fun bit).
The masque itself looks like a runny strawberry jam and smells really fruity. With pomegranate and passion flower in there it is perfect for this time of year but they also have many benefits. The forumla cleans, purifies and protects which is supposed to leave your skin feeling fresh and radiant. We shall see when I peel it off how my skin feels.
You do look like you have crazy sunburn when it's on due to the red colour, but I love the different variety in colours of face masques.

Plus passion flower - just in time for Valentines ;)

*My face is all tight - time to wash it off!! BRB! (Haven't used that word in a long time!)

Back now, Just peeled of the masque, which was loads of fun! The masque peeled of really easily and in one go, I have found this with all their masques. My skin is not burnt or irritated in anyway, it just feels lovely and cleansed and really smooth to the touch.

Fashionista Plumpling Lip Glaze...

Fashionista Plumping Lip Glaze - Superdrug - £5 *

With valentines around the corner what better excuse than buying a nice new lipstick in a beautiful redas and pinks..and what's more - a lipgloss that will plump your lips up to make them look even more kissable.
The two colours I have from Fashionista are perfect for that Hollywood is a the paler pink of the two and is a lovely daytime pink. Fashion Fuchsia is the darker of the two and is perfect I think for an evening lip.

The packaging is a nice sturdy tube that is large enough to easily be found in a handbag but not too big so it will easily fit into makeup bags. But the applicator is what makes these lipglosses amazing for me. The applicator is straighter and larger than others I have used so you can easily get into the corners of your mouth without smudging the gloss on your face (Yes I am a mucky pup when it comes to these things).

The gloss does have a tingling effect when put on your lips, this starts about 4 seconds from application - yes I counted! There is a strong tingle but I don't think this is unpleasant, I really like it. The tingling kept my lips nice and warm in the cold weather. I also really like how you can have the colours quite sheer or build them up to a really opaque coverage.

January 2012 Favourites...

So it is that time of the month already, it seems like last week that I did my 2011 favourites - madness! I really notice how fast the months go when I do these monthly posts. Thank god January and it's 5 week pay month has gone and we are back to normal - not to mention a massive tax rebate for me!

My first favourite is the Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser. I still have half of my Liz Earl one left but wanted to

see if there was a cheaper one out there. You can't really get much cheaper than this - I paid £1. For me this is just as good as Liz Earl, although it doesn't smell as nice or take off my eye makeup. But for £1 I can't complain.

Two fashion-y favourites this month are my forever ring from Accessorize and my faux fur stole from h&m, which I got thanks to Charlotte selling me hers. They sold out everywhere and I was gutted but she came to my rescue - Thanks!!

Next up are two items that I have been using to try and combat my keratosis pilaris! The first is the breakfast scrub from Soap and Glory which I got as part of a christmas set. This smells like mapel syrup and I love it, it leaves a nice moisturising feeling on the skin after I have used it and has a decent amount of scrub in it without being scratchy. Next up is the soap I use just on my arms everyother day alternating with the breakfast scrub and it is the soap Sexy Peel by Lush. This soap has the most amazing lemon scent which isn't too sweet and has exfoliating particles in because of the lemon peel. My only bugbear is that it seems to get used up quite fast (like all things in Lush!).

Finally some makeup favourites for you this month. I'm not even going to try and describe the perfume scent but it's the Just Pink one from Next, I had ti for Christmas and have worn it everyday! Since neglecting my Chanel Soliel Tan de Chanel in favour of my sleek contour kit I have returned to loving the bronzing base. A new lipstick from the No7 Poppy King collection in a lovely dark red/wine colour has been my favourite. This month I really craved a berry lip and since bagging this bargain in the boots sale I have quenched that crave! And last but not least my old favourite No7 Exquiste Curl mascara which does give and hold a lovely curl in my lashes!

So there we go there is my January Faves, they feel a bit boring this month and I'm not sure why! There won't be a video for these faves this month because I am full up with a cold and sound like a man!

Still ill today - NAHT COOL. Hence the no photos of my face post, but I am having a rummage through my wardrobe later to try and refresh my memory of the clothes I own and try to create different outfits rather than just head straight for my trusty jeans and jumper combo. Currently typing this up from my "sick bed" or "sick sofa" because I am full up with a cold that errupted out of nowhere yesterday morning. Having to work yesterday morning didn't help - I have to count out loud a lot and this practically made my voice disappear.

Anyways, back to the point of this post... I am going to try and start doing more OOTD posts, I love seeing them on other people's blogs but OH MY mine look so bad! Trying to find somewhere to take the picture, then find a "pose", whilst getting the right lighting and running back from the camera and posing to make the timer - JEEZ Y U SO HARD OOTD!!! I do hope you forgive me for how bad these are - any tips would be gratefully recieved.

The main focus of this outfit it this amazing t-shirt from Orange Circle, I love it! I love the zebra print and the glasses match my Ray-Bans. The t-shirt is really thick cotton so feels rather expensive and it washes really well - hello domestic goddess!! I have a wishlist as long as the longest list in the world for their t-shirts (and jumpers) here are some of my faves 1,2,3,4,5,6 (bare in mind these are just from the first page - told you I want hundreds of them!) Ok so here is my ultimate favourite - the deathly hallows t-shirt!

I want to start doing "FOTD's" again, I like to look back and remember all the products that I used together and I find reading others really helps me...so hopefully mine will do the same. This is what I wore on Saturday, popped out for breakfast with my Nan and then settled down to an afternoon of youtube filming (side note - how people deal with "trolls" is beyond me! I hate getting a thumb down!) I do like these type of "simple eye - "out there" lip" looks, it is pretty much my go to look, this and a neutral smokey eye. LUSH Creamy Candy Bubble Bar....

Never one to stray from my beloved Comforter Bubble Bar I was surprised when I found myself adding this Creamy Candy Bubble bar to a little yellow paper bag. Creamy Candy has the same smell as the Rock Star Soap which is actually a rather sweet smell. To be honest I didn't think that I would like it because I am not that keen on really strong smelling products that are too sickly.

To combat this I tend to always use less of the product to make sure that I am not overwhelmed by the smell. This may affect the review...but I shall continue anyway. The first time that I used this I broke off half without the center piece and to be honest I used it so long ago that I can't really remember what the bath was like - must have been rather boring then!

However the second time I used it, with the amount shown in the picture, I have a few more things to write about. I can't seem to just "use" a product these days without thinking about its look, performance and value for money - see I am a dedicated blogger even though the amount of posts are few and far between!

Anyways, once I crumbled the rest of the bar into my bath the standard Bubble Bar reaction took place, although there is more bubbles if you use the whole thing. Loads of bubbles (although not as much as the Comforter) appeared and the water turned slightly cloudy. The sweet smell didn't linger for too long which is a good thing in my books. The chunks of LUSH's solid bath oil melt and make my skin lovely and soft but to be honest I would rather just use a good moisturiser to get the same skin softening effect without paying for a bubble bar!

Wired Jewellery...A Giveaway CLOSED

In recent weeks I have been talking a lot to the lovely Faye who makes her own jewellery called "Wired Jewellery". Faye is absolutely lovely and sent me a few things from her range which I have fallen in love with. Faye has even sent me an extra one of one of these items to hold a giveaway for my followers and even more there is an exclusive discount just for my readers!

The first thing that I unwrapped was this beautiful bracelet, stamped with a lock and key design it is perfect for my tiny wrists which can look swamped with larger bracelets. These are yet to arrive on the website at the time of writing this post so I am not sure on price but all Faye's jewellery is so reasonable!

The next goodie that I pulled out of the Wired Jewellery packaging was the blackboard ring (£6.00), which is just an ingenious design. It's a ring, that you can change the design of however many times a day you please! I drew a Christmas tree on Christmas day, snowflakes and a snowman over Christmas and for New Years I drew a firework! I could spend all day coming up with things to put on it, to make the design last when you have drawn one you love just spray a little hair spray ontop! Faye even includes a piece of chalk! There is also a larger one that you can use as a Christmas Tree decoration and a necklace version.

Again Faye really suprised me with how clever her jewellery is! I have never seen anything like these rings, the Round Cog Rings (£6.00) that I were sent are so clever. Little pieces of vintage mechanics and cogs set in clear resin means that no two rings will be the same! The rings are adjustable so will fit anybody's fingers.

Finally a necklace that spells my name correctly! Now I quite like the name necklaces but could I find out that spelt Charli without the E - NO! Faye does make wired necklaces but you need to speak to her before hand to order one as they take a fair amount of time to make. I'm not sure how she does it but this necklace is small enough so it can be called a delicate necklace, large enough to be a statement necklace and large enough so you can read what it says....I love it.

I love Faye's jewellery and now have my eye on most of these gemstone rings.

Barry M Nail Paint - Mint Green...

This was a picture that I found on my laptop which was taken ages ago, as in when I still had biosculpt gel on my nails and I haven't had that for months :( damn you finances!!
Anyway, onto the product itself - Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green. As you can see from the picture it is the perfect "mint green", I love wearing pastel-y colours on my nails and this one is just beautiful. As with the majority of Barry M Nail Paints this applies really well and is perfect in two coats. This lasts a good couple of days before chipping - but I think that test is more reflective of the topcoat that you use.

No7 Concealer Brush...

I know, the second post on No7 brushes in a week - sorry!! Although the £5 vouchers are BACK - I repeat - they are back! So here is hoping I am helping you decide on what to spend yours on!
This little beauty I picked up a few days ago and only cost me £3 when using the voucher. I would link you to the boots website but its down for some reason at the moment.
I was originally using an ELF bamboo eyeshadow blending brush to blend in my under eye concealer and it was getting a bit old, but in all honesty it wasn't the best brush to use from the start. Whilst I find using brushes to apply liquid makeup a lot easier this brush was far too soft.
The No7 concealer brush on the other hand is perfect. The bristles are really sturdy to allow proper blending but also soft enough not to pull the skin under your eye. The brush is tapered so you can get right into the corner between your eye and your nose but is also large enough to blend quickly.
I would 100% recommend this brush!

Andrea Fullerton - Gemstone Overcoat...

I bought this from Superdrug at the same time that I bought Petrol in Water and its the Andrea Fullerton Gemstone Overcoat (£4.99). It's a jewel effect topcoat that adds almost a fish scale like appearance, the colour changes from a silver/blue to a goldy/pink when your nails catch the light. I love using this over pale pinks, pastels but also deep, darker colours. A bonus point is that this makes your nail polish last for ages and doesn't have the real pain in the arse removal that most glitters do!

No7 Eyeshadow Blend and Contour Brush...

This little beauty I picked up when the infamous No7 £5 off vouchers were going last year (I have recently bought another brush as the vouchers are back!! But will blog about that at a later date). I love it when boots do these vouchers and I have used them for numerous things over the years. A quick "best buys" from me would be their Hot Cloth Cleanser - £4 with voucher, Nail Polishes - around £2 with voucher and their brushes.

The time around the eyeshadow brush caught my eye. After reading many blogs I have now found myself familiar with MAC brushes - which is impressive seeing as I own none myself, general thought is that they are some of the best brushes around and when this Eyeshadow Brush caught my eye I noticed it was very similar to the MAC 217 , although I can't comment on this properly because I don't own the MAC 217!

This brush however, I can comment on. For a start the No7 brushes in general are shorter than your average brush. This doesn't bother me at all, I have a mixture of short and long brushes in my collection and don't find that the length hinders how they work. The bristles are fairly soft and haven't shed when I have washed them - a major plus point - especially after reading Lauren's post on what happened with a couple of her brushes!

The only thing I don't like is the writing down the handle - I think it cheapens the brush.

The shape of the brushes means that you can use it to add colour all over, just to the crease or to blend eyeshadows together. A good all rounder and I will definatly be picking up another one with the next voucher I get!

My blog turned 1 on December the 18th and I couldn't blog then due to having no internet but I just wanted to say that I never dreamed that I would be nearing 400 followers, its amazing! Coupled with the amazing people that I now speak to regularly on twitter - I am so glad I started blogging!

I have a load of posts planned such as 2011 favourites, winner announcements and giveaways which I am really excited about. It's all about fitting blogging into full time work now...and the lighter days will be back so better photos should be arriving soon.

LUSH Squeaky Green Solid Shampoo...

Ever intrigued by the different products in LUSH the last time I ventured in there I picked up one of their solid shampoos. To be honest LUSH tends to annoy me sometimes, I know that the people in there are probably only trying to help (unless they are on comission for what is in your baskets) but in my local store they literally pounce on you as soon as you walk in. This is good I suppose but sometimes I just want to walk and nose on my own.

Anyways, on one day where an assistant practically showed me around the whole store she explained about their solid shampoos. Yes ladies, a bar of soap for your head...my face literally resembled the emoticon - :S, but soon we were talking about the benefits of them and before I knew it I had decided that Squeaky Green would be the one for me.

Squeaky Green has herbs and oils to balance the scalp with the basic solid shampoo base to clean out the dirt and grease on the hair. There is nettle in there to give shine to the hair but is also kind on the scalp, rosemary which is a great antiseptic hair and scalp tonic, peppermint to stimulate the scalp and increase blood flow to the roots and the tea tree to help with dandruf! Phew!

Once you have wet your hair you can either lather the bar up in your hands and then rub in your hair, or do what I do and just rub it on your head. There is an instant cooling feeling which is the peppermint in the bar and this kind of tingles on the scalp but isn't unpleasant, but the peppermint does leave a lovely smell in the bathroom. The bar leaves my hair feeling really refreshed, shiney and clean, there are no volumising claims so there is nothing to report there, but all in all it is a really nice shampoo.

The bar has a very natural look to it with its green colour and visible bits of herbs, which does "please" my eye, however these bits sometimes get left in your hair if you don't rinse enough! The bar does smell quite herbally which apparently is a fragrance that used to be in an old product range of LUSH but since I have only been using LUSH for a couple of months I have no idea what range this is.

The solid shampoos are super environmentally friendly because they are made and transported (and sold) with no packaging, so I purchased the shampoo bar tin for £2.50 so my shampoo bar doesn't get wasted away on the side of the bath. I think the tin is super cool, but using a cheap sandwich box will do. This also makes them fantastic to take away with you because they take up no room in a suitcase.

LUSH claim that the shampoo bars will last the same time as three bottles of shampoo (250g) which does make them really good value. However I have about 5 shampoos on the go (no exaggeration - it may even be more) so I haven't used this continuously.

Happy Boxing Day Everyone!!
Hope you are all recovering from the major food induced coma that happens every Christmas Day. This was the first Christmas I had in my own place and I have LOVED it. I even cooked the Christmas dinner myself - which was a success and had a lovely time visiting family!
The new flat is really lovely and we now have everything in place (DFS I HATE YOU!!) the only problem is out internet is SO SLOW, which means reading blogs, youtube and even watching iplayer takes 4 hours to load :( does anyone else have the same problem with having the internet in a flat? Its oober annoying!

Barry M Dazzle Dust - #39...

Hello there! I finally have the internet so I am able to blog again - will do a massive update post with a few pictures soon, but right now I can't wait to blog about some of the items that have made their way into my clutches recently.

The first one that I am really loving at the moment is the BarryM Dazzle Dust in #39. For me this was the more affordable answer to an Illamasqua pigment that I very VERY nearly bought when shopping with Leanne a couple of months ago - I think it was called furore?

Anyway, I was browsing the aisles of Superdrug one lunch time when this little pot caught my eye. I didn't think much of it to be honest as I have always been a little turned off by loose pigments due to a slight incident where a blue pigment ended up all over the carpet :/, yet I strolled over and swatched.

Before I knew it I was walking towards to till to purchase. The colour is beautiful, a solid metallic peach which looks slightly coppery in my opinion. I absolutely love it, it's so nice on its own because it is such an interesting colour. But #39 also looks lovely as part of a neutral smokey eye. You need the smallest amount, I usually use what ever is dusted in the lid and it blends beautifully, plus it stays on all day with my primer (from ELF - I never go a day without it!).

Yet, there is still one downfall....the fact that it is a loose pigment, it does slightly spill when you open the lid (nothing major) and this makes me not want to use it in a rush in the mornings because in my sleepy state at 7am it would most likely spill. However, it is such a beautiful colour that I am tempted to depot a small amount into another container and use it that way.!

Anyways, its SO nice to be back! Thanks for sticking around!

Not sure why I had such a dramatic start to the blogpost but anyway, as some of you might know that I am moving out this weekend. Needless to say I won't be blogging this weekend and for most of this week. Another problem is that my new flat won't have the internet until the 21st Decemeber (eeek!!!). In that time the only way I will be able to blog is to take my laptop to relatives houses who do have the internet. In the mean time I will be typing loads of posts and filming loads of videos - will be a struggle not to!

Revlon Really Red Matte Lipstick...

This lipstick is the most beautiful Hollywood Red lipstick that I have ever tried on my lips. With the name of "Really Red" I had high hopes for it and boy it doesn't disappoint. I know this says "Matte" but with this lipstick it does not mean drying, this is actually very moisturising. I can wear it all day and not feel like my lips are dry at all. You don't have to load this on the lips either as it is so opaque....I LOVE IT.

Bit of a rave review there for you! I bought mine from Superdrug for £7.49 and you can get it from boots and other places online.

I am going to look into buying other colours because I love the formula of the lipstick.

Witch Concealer Stick...

This is going to sound really bad but I can't remember if I won this from Witch or if I bought it. I have either won, bought or been sent things from Witch Skin Care and I now have the whole collection (which is BRILLIANT) apart from the moisturiser which I really want to try and get my hands on! If that follows suit and is as good as the rest of the range then I will be a happy chappy.

This concealer is one that I reach for to cover those pesky spots that I have once in a blue moon. I find this slightly too thick to use to cover the massive bags under my eyes so for that I use their other concealer which I am now on my third one of. I use it everyday.

The witch hazel in the product helps to fight the spot whilst concealing it. Available from boots here, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to cover spots and fight them all in one product!

Lumiere Eye Pigments...

[Champagne, Creme Brulee, Espresso]

I was asked to review these by Lumiere Cosmetics a while ago and after using them for sometime I have to say I really like them. The words "loose pigments" usually fill me with dread. An incident of a blue loose eye pigment and a cream carpet at the age of 14 comes flooding back, but I thought now with a steadier hand at the age of 21 I might manage not to get them everywhere.

The colours that they sent me are PERFECT for me, I do love a nude/brown eye! These pigments were right up my street, two shimmers and a matte which I can create so many looks with. I love putting Champagne all over the lid with some black eyeliner and a strong lip. My other favourite is to use Creme Brulee all over the lid with Champagne as a inner eye and under the brow highlight, then defining the crease with Espresso.

Onto the powder themselves there are so soft and blendable - just what you would expect from pigments that are as finely milled as these are. There is no fall out from these, but of course I wear my ELF primer so there shouldn't be any fall out from any eyeshadow!

Overall I love these and you can buy them from here. I love all the different names of them!

Mid Week Make-up Shake-up...#2

I was actually really surprised by how much I used and enjoyed using the products that were just left at the bottom of my make up collection! There were a couple though that remained unused and I didn't find myself reaching for them even though there were in my IKEA storage "thing" haha.

I've kept the Skin Base from Illamasqua in for this week and the ELF Mist and Set Spray because I barely touched them last week. Since having my makeup done by Daniel Sandler I have been wanting to use all his products that I already owned so have bought out this foundation that is by him. As I fake tanned this week I will have to use my darker (and well loved) colour of Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation to either mix into my foundations or to use on its own, I do love this foundation but definatly need a primer underneath which is where the last product comes into play, bought this on a whim in Superdrug so we shall see how it fairs!

My choice of concealers stay the same because I really like the combination of the slightly salmon-y colour of the MAC Select Moisture Concealer in NW20 and the lightening brightening effect of the Witch Anti-Blemish Liquid Concealer. I didn't use the AVON Corrector Palette once...says it all!

Taking the place of my ELF Mineral Foundation is my well loved Witch Powder which is also well broken :( I will not (being strict) buy another one just because it is broken, I will use it up first! As a change to my much loved Sleek Contour Kit I have roped in the Bourjois Bronzer that I reviewed here. Much to my annoyance I haven't used the Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Androgen much at all, I need to rectify this because it was expensive!

The biggest shakeup has to be in the eye makeup section! Although I am keeping my primer and eyebrow kit the same, I have tried to add more eyeshadows and palettes that I rarely use but still love, whilst still keeping neutral-ish!

This is a recent, which will be shown in and up and coming haul video, buy because I needed a new mascara, I bought two in the end where Superdrug are offering 3 for 2 on cosmetics - would have been rude not to! Review on the Maybelline False Lash Effect Mascara will be up soon!

As well as craving a red lip, I have also been craving a purple-y berry lip! Any suggestions would be welcomed! I have no idea where these lipstick cravings have come from - the majority of my collection is nude, pink or coral..I have never been adventurous but blogging seems to have changed that!

Central Pharmacy and Escentual.com 25th Anniversay...

On Saturday I was lucky enough to be invited to Central Pharmacy (Escentual.com) to celebrate them being open 25 years! To celebrate this they had various events over the week which were amazing, yet this one was the one that excited me the most! Mr Daniel Sandler was there!! And better still he was going to be holding a workshop - EEK!! I have been a fan of Daniel's products since I won a fair amount of them so I was oober excited to meet him and watch him work - secretly hoping that I would get the chance to model (I DID! Major fan gir moment!). You'll have to forgive the iphone photos though..In all the excitement I forgot my camera.

Some of Daniel's makeup was on display and I have to say I really do want it all, I am going to be adding to my collection for a long time.

Lovely snap of me having my makeup done. As I already had minimal makeup on Daniel did a quick and easy (but not so easy looking) smokey eye to take my makeup from daytime to night time. Pretty much just using his Waterproof Eyeliner in black and green coupled with some contouring. Daniel was so down to earth and was really gentle when applying the makeup - some people on counters have left my eyes watering after putting makeup on me. It was the best makeup I think I have ever had applied on my face, I have never EVER done a winged eyeliner thinking that my face was too round for it, but I love it! What do you think?
I shall list all the products used at the end and in another post I shall tell you what I actually picked up on the night and what I am planning to purchase next.

Andrea Fullerton - Petrol In Water...

This one one of my lunchtime purchases mentioned here in this video. It is the Nail Trio from Andrea Fullerton called "Petrol In Water". I wanted this for a while after seeing the range pop up in a few blogposts and was curious as to how the colour change would work!

The first colour is a gorgeous bronzey, brown, plum (yes I am amazing at descriptions of colours!) which I love wearing as it is - two coats and it is fully opaque. But the magic happens when you put the other colour on top. The blue and purple shimmer really does look like petrol and I love it! The way the top coat changes the base colour means that you don't have to worry about a perfect application, the glitter covers it!

The only downside is that there is the usual fuss of taking glitter off your nails!

I bought mine from Superdrug for £7.99 which I think is a bit steep considering I don't think that you get that much polish, although I do love it. Plus Superdrug are doing 3 for 2 on all cosmetics at the moment...GO NOW!

MUA Lipstick - Shade 13

Another "I'll nip into Superdrug on my lunch time" purchase. Not really sure why I bought another red lipstick, I think I have four, I might do a comparison post to see the difference in what brands label as their "red"?
Anyway as you will probably know this is from one of the cheapest Make Up ranges around - MUA. From just £1 they are possibly the most affordable brand around (correct me if I'm wrong).
In some lights this looks slightly pinker than I would like but I still like the colour. It takes a couple of layers to get it to the colour level in the picture but it lasts a fair few hours for a lipstick that is only £1. Plus I actually really like the colours that it fades through, leaving almost a red stain on my lips. The formula isn't drying either, this doesn't make my lips chap up which is a major plus point!
I have been really impressed with this lipstick and now want more!
I have been loving the MUA range that I have tried so far (two eyeshadows, the Heaven and Earth Palette and this lipstick) what else is a "must have" from there?

Mid Week Make-up Shake-up...

This is something that I have seen on Adrienne's Blog and Lauren's Blog and in a massive attempt to start using all the makeup that I own I am now going to slap another (less official) spending ban on myself. To overcome my shock at not buying make up I will keep rotating my make up so it always feels like I have something new!

This will probably happen once every two weeks when I get a TOIL day midweek from work - so I have enough light to take blog pictures!

The first face things that I will be using for the next two weeks are shown above. Firstly my primer, from Arbonne, a brand I have no experience with but was given this to try by a representative of them. For foundations I will be using my Illamasqua Skin Base in shade 8 and my new shade of the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Cream. To set my foundation I'm going to use my ELF mineral foundation as an alternative to my ever decreasing MAC MSF in medium plus.

Other face items for this shakeup include the ELF Mist and Set Spray, the Sleek Contour Kit in light, my Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Androgen and the Natural Collection blush in Pink Cloud.

For concealers I have a corrective palette from Avon, an All About Eyes concealer from Clinique and a MAC select moisturecover concealer.

For my eyes this month I am going to be using a combination of mascaras, the Mineral Mascara from ELF in black and the Waterproof mascara in brown (appears black). My Simple Eye Roll On to keep my eyes looking less puffy from the early mornings with my GOSH eyeliner to create a highlight for the inner of my eye. My eyeliner this time around is one that I won in a giveaway from NYC, so I will see how this one fairs up!
Lip products are the things that I have no problem in changing around, I have about ten in my handbag I think. But there are a few that I just never seem to use. The two I have picked out are both from out, one being the Matte Lip Colour (note the American spelling!!!) in Coral and a plumping lip colour. My homemade lipscrub is in the Vaseline pot which I need to step up using because the colder weather means I have chapped lips much more often.

My eye products are usually just my Urban Decay Naked Palette so this time I have locked it all away and bought out a mixture of single eyeshadows. I have a mixture from ELF, Avon and No7 all to be used with my ELF primer and eyebrow kit.

And finally this is where my daily makeup is stored, in a drawer divided from IKEA.

Sleek Contour Kit - Light...

Another item that I have now managed to get my hands because of working in the city center. After months of lusting after the sleek contour kit - it is mine!

I have used this pretty much everyday since I bought it, with the exception of about 4! The bronzer is the perfect contour colour that, with a light hand creates the impression that I actually have cheekbones! (I am a moon/football/big round clown face person). The contour lasts a fair amount of the day, I do like to do a sneaky lunchtime touch up of makeup and this is about 7 hours after I apply in the morning. Don't use too much however or you will end up looking a bit stripy!

The highlighter is a bit of a miss for me, I'm not one to use highlighters that much so maybe I just don't appreciate it? It seems abit to shimmery - which I suppose is the point? See I just really don't appreciate it do I? Although, I do like it as an eyeshadow so I will use it...phew...I really hate wasting products, a reason why I love blogsales!

I will be adding some face of the days every now and again using the past few products I have reviewed rather than just do a face every time I review something - I'm sure you would be sick of the sight of me :)

Sunday Summary #17

This week I battled a cold and even got sent home from work with it - SHAME!! Its gone now though - thank heavens, but I know a few people have still got it from what I read on twitter so I hope you all feel better soon!
In much more exiting news, which you may know if you already follow me on twitter you would know that my niece arrived in the world very early Thursday morning, Lydia! She is absolutely beautiful even though I am biased. The huge teddy was a present for her older sister and she loves jumping all over it. Lydia only weighs 5lb7 and is so tiny. Love her to bits!
Due to different living arrangements and working full time, I have no time free in the house to film videos, so I have been neglecting it. There are a few videos that I "owe" (hate saying that word but I kinda do owe them) etc and I really don't want anyone to think that I am just being lazy.
Getting the new iphone tomorrow, can't wait to get up to date with instagram and all that - hopefully will have more weekly pictures then!

Lunchtime Primark Haul...

Working in a city center is dangerous for my bank balance. I have every single shop around me, ones that don't have online shops and worst of all (or best) is Primark.
I never used to go in Primark unless I was in town, but now being in town everyday I find myself "popping" in. This is what I picked up one lunchtime. The first are these amazingly thick and warm slipper socks with a christmas theme. For £4 you can't go wrong, especially when I have seen pretty much the same thing for loads more in other shops. Then I saw matching PJ bottoms and I couldn't resist. I have a "thing" for PJs I jsut love them and the more patterned on the bottom the better. I tend to wear them with just a plain cheapy tshirt, these were £5.
Finally I saw these "suede" dark green loafers. I had been looking for a pair for ages and bought these black chain shoes from New Look as an alternative (seen in this video) but they ripped my feet to shreds. However these from primark, for £8, are so comfortable its unreal, I really recommened them.

What have you been buying from Primark? As if I need more temptation!

Vivo Cosmetics...Baked Blusher in Peaches and Cream...

This was another VIVO item that I got sent when Leanne and I were blogs of the week, won via twitter. I chose this because I am really trying to get into blushers and word on the town was that they were similar to a well known brand (we all know who that is!)

Being baked this blusher will last for ages, very buildable so you can have a subtle glow on your cheeks or a full on cheek. There is a shimmer in there but not enough to be a highlighter and there is no chalky-ness to the blush like there can be with some lower priced makeup. I love the swirl that the product has in the pan and having a clear lid means you can see this when it is in your storage, a thing that I like with makeup.
Overall I really like this and it is a happy addition to my makeup, I would really recommend trying this range out especially as the blusher retails for £4, so it could sneak into your weekly shop and you wouldn't even know ;)

Currently blogging from my sick bed. I really hate colds. This one has been brewing for a few weeks so hopefully will be gone soon. Debating having a flu jab? Has anyone had one?

Finally started properly working as in not training anymore. Although I do have a trainee sign infront of me which is a nice comfort blanket. This however seems to be a massive problem for some members of the public and this has actually really upset me this week. Two examples are an old lady asked me something but as I had only been working for a day I wasn't able to help so I asked her to wait for another person who could help her, this was a MASSIVE problem to her and she started to say things like "Shouldn't have come to you, obviously went to the wrong person" "why do you have a trainee who is a waste of a position on the counter". The last person who was waiting to be served actually came up to me, looked at me and said "I am going to avoid you if you are training, I don't trust trainees". This two situations actually really bothered me because yes I am a trainee but I am not completely useless. I am also trying to learn things as fast as I can but with comments like that sends me a few paces back. Plus, they just saw the sign and presumed I would get things wrong. I have to thank the other people working with me at the time who stuck up for me and my manager who also said if you need to take 5 to have a glass of water and chill out then go. He also made me laugh with his way of saying "ignore them". I always have the up most respect for elders but my eyes have massively been opened by these two old ladies and the level of rudeness that they showed to my face.

On the other hand my new work colleagues are amazing and have been SO friendly and welcoming! I love them all!

Anyway on to the positives, I have so much to blog about so many products to review and videos to film, I finally feel like I have my "mojo" back...it did a little vanishing trick for a couple of weeks where I felt like I HAD to blog and didn't WANT to. Now I just need the time and lighting to blog and photograph! Working full time really restricts blogging and I have to spend a good hour taking snaps on a weekend! Planning is the key. Due to working 2 Saturdays a month I get to take a day off in the week which will come in handy when I want a free house to film...that sounds so dodgey!!

Its so soon to when Matt and I move out...end of next month :) would you be interested in some sort of flat decor posts? I feel like a domsetic goddess with all my plans of decoration! The picture above is from my birthday weekend away, I wish I could go back...feel like I could do with a massive break and I've only been working full time for 3 weeks!

MUA Eyeshadow Pearl Shade 28...

A recent addition to my ~~ever increasing~~ make up collection. I can't wait until we are in our flat and I can have a proper dressing table and maybe do a storage video? Anywho onto the most beautiful eyeshadow I have seen in since I opened up my naked palette.
One of the many benefits to working in the city center is that I have easy access to a large Superdrug that stocks MUA, the smaller out of town ones never do! One lunch time I "popped" out and came back with this, MUA eyeshadow - pearl shade 28 - £1....yes...£1!!! There were other things in my basket but I'm going to spread them out over a few posts. Lunchtime shopping is amazing and I have a massive haul post to film when I am on my TOIL day next week.
This eyeshadow is brilliant, not chalky and easy to blend this lasts all day on my lid, especially when I use my eye lid primer. You can also blend this into oblivion if the colour in the picture is too "out there" for you so that a subtle copper colour is left on the lid. I use this colour mainly in a bronzed smokey eye, which is my signature eye look, that looks good for day or night time.

Essence - Ballerina Backstage Collection...

This lovely lot was what I won in a recent giveaway from Cornflakegirl's Musings blog. I was so excited to win these because I have never tried anything from this brand before...mainly because I think they are only available in some countries of the EU (correct me if I'm wrong). Plus just look at the packaging, now I was a dancer from the age of 3 and had to give it up at 16 due to an illness :/ so I love this theme.

The first things that I opened were the nail polishes. The first is a really nice baby pink colour which is surprisingly opaque, much more opaque than the one that I have that a certain Kate wore at her wedding. The second is the most amazing black glitter, opaque in two coats there is the most gorgeous copper coloured glitter running through the polish.

The next goodie that I was sent was a blush souffle! I have never tried a mousse blusher before so I was quite intrigued as to how this would work. I really like the colour because it is really subtle, but I do find this a little "greasy" and "slippy" on the skin, I need to find a way for this to work on my skin because I really do love the colour.

This lipgloss is a really lovely baby pink (notice the ballerina theme!!) I really love the colour payout and its not too sticky - bonus!

Now for my favourite items of the whole lot. The eye souffles, I was hoping they would do the same as MAC paint pots because I want one of them but can't justify the funds at the moment. These are a "harder" product than the paint pots and are more like a cream eyeliner to the touch. You can use these as a primer as well as a colour in themselves and they held my eyeshadow in place all day. I won't be using these for that though because I have and love my ELF eyelid primer. But as colours they really are great, my favourite is the copper colour and I love using this as an all over colour for a quick and easy eye look. I always use my ELF primer under everything I put on my eyes and these last all day without creasing. Even though the black doesn't look that pigmented it really makes for a lovely smokey eye, and acts as a great base for a black eyeshadow! I love them and wish I had access to more of the essence products.

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate Pore Cleansing Sauna Masque...

To celebrate "National Chocolate Week" I was sent the Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate Pore Cleansing Sauna Masque. Never one to turn down chocolate whether that be edible or cosmetic I jumped at the chance. I waited until Friday night, when after a long week I applied the mask before soaking in the bath.
The product is in a sachet although I really hope that they bring out larger multi-time use sachet of this!
The actual mask is amazing. Imagine melting chocolate orange and smearing it all over your face - yes it is that good. The mask is full of natural chocolate goodness with rich dark melted chocolate to banish impurites, whilst the Mediterranean Clay gets rid of dirt and oils from deep within pores. The orange oil is bursting with good ol' Vitamin C, which will leave skin feeling revitalised and refreshed. It doesn't end there though, there is Cocoa Butter soothes and nourishes and the Vanilla in there protects against free radicals.

Perfect for Normal, Oily and Combination Skin this is suitable for vegetarians too and they use natural ingredients wherever possible.

When you put this mask on your face it gets warm immediately. I didn't think a mask could ever get that warm from just being put on your skin, although it wasn't unpleasant, it was soo comforting! Coupled with the smell I did just want to eat it. My skin felt warm afterwards and slightly red so I would definatly use this in the evening when you don't have to go out afterwards. My face was soo soft though and felt really treated! I will be buying this for an indulgent treat :)

Sunday Summary #15

This week I have been doing a lot of reflecting and its made me realise that there are so many things that you take for granted at the time they happen. A few of the things are in the pictures above: Louis, My Bampy (a picture on my GCSE results day so was 16), having bleach blonde hair (aged 18) and my work experience at the Millennium Stadium (I was 15 in this picture - 6 years ago!!). I wish I could go back and do or have these things again.

Anyway, absolutely gutted about the rugby, for anyone who watched - IT WAS NEVER A RED CARD!!!!!

This week will be the change over between training and my actual job. I have an assessment Tuesday - Scared. Should be ok...I hope!!

I am majorly slacking with my blog and videos at the moment, I have things I need to film and working just gets in the way. I'm also really fussy and like to have a free house when I film is anyone else like that? I get all sorts of embarrassed thinking that someone could hear me speaking to a camera!

Vivo Cosmetics...Baked Palette in Chocolate Box

Vivo Cosmetics have really been a hit with me, namely their baked products and lipsticks. I am yet to try their eyeshadows and lipglosses and this palette is no exception - It is brilliant.

Now what I will start off with first is the not so good, or for some of you it will be good. Even when I use my eye primer (ELF) these colours are not as pigmented on the eyelid as they are on my hand. I will use them in some FOTDs but at the moment when I get home form work it is pitch black and when I leave its pitch black, this means no good pictures at all. This can be a good thing if you like subtle eyeshadows and in my case I don't mind taking the time to build the colours up because when you do the results are amazing.

For a start lets just take a moment, like I did when I opened the palette, to just stare at how pretty they are. I actually showed some people at home just to say "Don't they look like the bouncy balls you had as a child!?" Anyone remember those or just me? Because the palette has "windows" you can even admire them when the palette is just on your dressing table. They are a domed shape because they are a baked product which means they will last for ages.

This is the most neutral baked palette they do with the added loveliness of a silver in there so you can mix things up. In all honesty the colours weren't what I expected them to be before swatching them, but that is the added fun of products that have swirls of colour through them.

The blusher is a beautiful pink, which has a shimmer running through. The same with the eye colours, you can have a really sheer wash of colour or build it up to a more intense cheek...for me the first option is my only option but it has weaned me into wearing blusher.

This palette is just £6 and available from Tesco. Have you tried any VIVO products? Please leave links of reviews..as I kinda want everything (as usual). I have a few more things to review so keep an eye out for them.

Nail & Hand Treats...

This evening is a much needed "Nail & Hand TLC" evening. The new full time job involves a lot of typing and my poor nails have suffered in the in between stage between me taking my own shellac off (properly!!) and my new shellacs being done on Saturday.

First of all I removed my Shellac (done via soaking them in acetone) and wash my hands with warm soapy water. When dried I push my cuticles back and clip them away (haven't included my orange stick in this picture) so my nails are looking a little more groomed. I then rub cuticle oil all into the nails, going one finger at a time and rubbing in circular motions. The cuticle oil that I use is from Pinkeys which is the Salon that I go to to have my nails done all the time by the beautiful Michelle, I won't let anyone near my nails now. The cuticle oil is amazing at increasing the wear time of the Shellac Manicure by keeping my nails nice and moisturised.

After I have cuticle oiled up (sounds dodgey haha) I then smother my hands in Soap&Glory's Hand Food, which is just amazing. I love this hand cream and will keep repurchasing, I especially love the two sizes they do - the one in the picture is the smaller handbag size but I need to buy the big one for at home. My new job will involve handling money so a large supply of hand gel and a large tube of Hand Food will be a must. Its also nice to give yourself a mini hand and arm massage here - better still get someone else too! Whilst the hand cream sinks in, I just sit back and relax.

When the hand cream has soaked in, or I am bored of waiting, I wipe over my nails with a tissue to get all the excess oil and hand cream off so there is nothing for the nail polish to "slip on". Here I do a quick file, only one way and never drag the file back and forth etc...we've all heard it! After that comes my favourite part - painting! My holy grail base coat is Pinkeys Base Coat and Ridge Filler which is amazing. My nails are smooth after applying this and the first nail I paint is dry as soon as I am finished painting the last nail. The polish gives a frosted finish to your nails which is pretty enough to wear alone. The colour I am fancying tonight is a sheer colour by ELF called Nude. I don't want to put a really pigmented colour on my nails just to have it taken off on Saturday. Fancying a change I am going to use my Rimmel Matte Top Coat just to add a finish to my nails that I haven't had in a long time - but love!
So there we go, my nail pampering session!

Just want to mention that I had a brilliant time at the SW Blogger meet! Which was brilliantly organised by Gem. It was lovely to meet everyone and we all came away with amazing goody bags - I now have a vintage handbag!!! :)! Will post all about that soon!

Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Androgen

I have always tended to shy away from Illamasqua, I always think green lipstick, blue lipgloss etc, but when Leanne was in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago we hit the Illamasqua counter. This wasn't planned at all as we said in the video we posted about out shopping spree, but before we knew it the MUA's were heading towards our face with brushes and the new Skin Base Foundation (post to come).

Whilst there being made up I asked the MUA if she could help me with blusher. As you may know if you have red posts or watched videos on my blog - I hate my red cheeks and I never wear blusher. I had been eyeing up the cream pigments that were to the left of me whilst she was applying the foundation.

She recommend that I try the new cream pigment that is from their Theatre of the Nameless collection called "Androgen". The cream pigments are designed to be used anywhere from lips to cheeks to eyes. Androgen is the generic "nice coral" colour. I love using this on my cheeks with an angled blush brush to add a pop of colour, or used sparingly to add a sheer colour.

I can also use this REALLY lightly to counter balance the grey ~~black~~ under my eyelids. Personally my favourite way is as a lip colour, but you HAVE to use a generous amount of lip balm underneath as the formula is matte. For my lips I apply with my fingers because I find it easier when the product is warmed up to blend over my lips.

This lasts all day on my cheeks and in all fairness it lasts a while on my lips, but because I am forever drinking tea it fades and I do need to touch up, I like to mix it up and apply some vaseline on top for a glossy look.

Naturally being a sucker for nice packaging - I love it. Sleek, shiny and functional - You can easily see the colour through the packaging. Although sometimes a little hard to open and I feel like I am going to smudge the cream with a nail :/...touch wood...hasn't happened...yet!

You can get your hands on this from Illamasqua for £17.00, this may seem a lot but it will last ages! Or you can wait for it to go in the sale on ASOS ( ;) ).

YSL Rouge Volupte in No1 Nude Beige...

I honestly wanted to title this post "The Prettiest Lipstick In The World" and you would have to be bonkers not to be able to see why. Of course I am talking about the Rouge Volupte YSL Lipstick. Now I have to mention a lovely lady who has been mentioned numerous times on my blog and thank her for doing me a massive favour. The story behind this goes a bit like this...

Once upon a time a girl (me) was shopping in ikea with her boyfriend when her friend (Leanne) text her to say that she had just purchased the prettiest lipstick in all the land from CheapSmells for a bargainous price of £13.95 instead of the usual £22. Now the girl in ikea, whilst pretending to be interested in the furniture then frantically tried to order one of these lipsticks from her phone. Sadly this failed and Leanne came to the rescue like an absolute babe and ordered mine for me....

I chose the colour no1 - Nude Beige as I wanted to have a lisptick that I would wear everyday and get the most of my money out of...even though I had it for less than the RRP. Plus I wanted an excuse to get the lipstick out at every opportunity so everyone can admire the beautiful packaging. The lipstick is heavier than I ever thought a lipstick could be though.

Nude beige is more pink than I thought it was going to be, but that makes me love it even more - true nudes never tend to suit me. This lipstick is so smooth, like unbelievable, but this makes it seems that you use loads at a time. You don't need loads though, this is the most pigmented lipstick ever for such a soft consistency. The only niggle with it is that it will sink into the lines and cracks in lips, so make sure your lips are nice and primed and in good condition. The colour will last ages on your lips too, which is nice for a non-drying lipstick, you usually only get that with really dry lipsticks.

Estee Lauder - Double Wear - Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme

I bought this from Lucy's blog sale recently and I am really glad that I did. I was lusting after a MAC paint pot for ages and when this cropped up I thought they might be the same type of thing. Although I still don't own a MAC paint pot...so I can't comment on this!

The formula is like a cream eyeliner so it is hard to the touch but warms up when you rub your finger over the product. I apply mine with my fingers and dab the colour over my ELF eyelid primer, this means that I can get a streak free finish rather than have some visible brush strokes. With a primer this doesn't crease for me, but I tried it for a day, for the sake of blogging, without a primer and it creased!

The colour is a gorgeous gold, which is amazing on its own or as a smokey eye. I really love it and would look into other colours...if my bank account allows!

Avon Haul...

Hello Lovelies! Hope you haven't forgotten me...even though I posted Monday I feel so out of the loop with everything, not being on twitter really sucks but as you may know I do have a new job!! The training is going really well and it is really fun, there is a lovely mix of people there and they are breaking the day up with lots of educational games...I really hope my blog doesn't disappear because of this, the only thing that I can see slacking is my youtube, I still have videos to upload but I may have to do they old trick of filming 5 in a day and changing clothes between videos ;). But if you stick with my blog and youtube through this then THANK YOU.

I also hit 300 followers recently and I am soo happy, blogging isn't about numbers but I don't think there is a blogger out there who doesn't feel happy when that follower count increases, so thank you for clicking follow, I feel a giveaway coming soon :)

This was an unexpected surprise, a little paper bag that I forgot I ordered...whoops! They did mess up and didn't send me the vibrating mascara which I am waiting for...and the manicure gel I was after ended up out of stock..not happy about that!
I do love the bracelets though...look like an expensive copy non? It was only £10 for the bracelet and the beads..winner!! Hopefully later on in life (haha how dramatic) I will be able to afford a real one.
The oil spray is a bit of a gamble..my new job involves wearing a skirt as part of the uniform and I think I will become fed up of tights, I'm hoping this will keep my legs smooth enough to allow me to show them! Coupled with a layer of the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs.
The mascara is one that I LOVE! I shall post a review soon, this was only £5 on offer so if you see it I definatly recommend you nab one.
The perfume is one that I wanted for my handbag, normal perfume bottles are just not handbag friendly, this perfume smells really nice and not like "fake vanilla" if that makes sense.
I shall review these soon :)

Leopard Print False Nails Tutorial...

*When you read this I will be in my new job - eeek!!!*

These are what I created as one of some nails to choose from to wear to the fashion show I have recently blogged about. I won a giveaway from Charli a while ago and one of the prizes were these black false nails. I have to admit I wouldn't wear them as they are so decided to customize them so I would! Here is how I did it...

False Nails

Cotton Buds

Selotape

Nail Polishes of my choice:

Topshop - At Worlds End

17 - Parma Violet

Models Own Nail Art Pen - Black

After filing the nails to fit my nails I stuck them to the ends of cotton buds which makes painting them really easy. I made sure that both the thumb nails were stuck to the same cotton bud and so on.

First comes my base coat colour which like I said was Topshops At Worlds End and I love this blue, really opaque and I have used it loads!

Then for the dots!

Then using the Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black I just went around the spots and added random black spots to create the leopard print look.

For that accent nail, but very subtle accent nail, I placed extra splodges of GOSH Holographic to the ring finger nails.

Then left them to dry!

Got snap happy in the garden yesterday, they aren't the best but I like them!
Start my new job tomorrow...scared!

Illamasqua Skin Base - Shade 08
I have to admit I haven't actually used this yet. But from the way it was applied to my face and how it felt after visiting the Illamasqua counter in Debenhams with Leanne, I LOVE IT. You can apply it really sheer or build it up to a full coverage. I shall be doing a post of its own soon.

Liz Earl Skin Tint - Shade 2 - Beige
This product was a real surprise for me, I am definatly a full coverage girl but this has changed that. I use it more than full coverage products, I have written a full review here so won't ramble about this for too long.ch

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Base
I can see this product being in my monthly favourites forever, I love it so much. I use it everyday and it barely looks like it has been touched so it will last forever, here is my first post on it. I shall be doing an updated post on how I use the product so will provide more information there.

YSL - Rouge Volupte Lipstick - Shade 1 - Nude Beige
This lipstick is just divine, from the packaging to the finish of the lipstick. It just oozes glamour. A full post on this lipstick will be up soon, I only had it delivered yesterday but this is how much it has impressed me. Extremely pigmented this colour will last me forever and will be perfect for my new job.

VIVO - Lipstick - Shade Barely There
Another recent delivery to my house, VIVO sent me some of their new range that has launched in Tesco, blog post here, and this lipstick is a great product. I already had the lipstick in the colour pink pout so I knew that I liked the formula, really easy to apply, fairly pigmented, lasts a few hours and has a faint vanilla smell. I really recommend trying these as they are only £1.99 and great!

Essence Backstage Ballerina - Eye Souffle - Shade Pas De Copper
I had never heard of this brand until I had entered a giveaway to win the new Backstage Ballerina Collection and I have been blown away by them. This eye souffle reminds me of the new chanel ones, the mouse-y creamy eyeshadow. The eye souffle doesn't crease and last all day, the gorgeous copper colour is interesting enough to wear alone as an all over lid colour and dark enough to use as a crease colour! I wish they weren't only available in Ireland though!

Sigma F80 & Clinique Foundation Brush
This combination of brushes to apply my foundation has been my favourite way to get a flawless finish. First I use the flat foundation brush to put colour all over my face and then use my sigma f80 to buff the product in. This is coming from the girl who used to hate flat foundation brushes - I have no idea what changed!

Paint Brushes
These were really cheap from a pound shop that is local to me! I use the larger one to fill in my brows and the small one to apply dark eyeshadow as an eyeliner.
